Analysis of our chosen song 'NIGHTTIME':

Breakdown: 

This first verse is sung by the girl. She is expressing how her feelings towards her love are so strong that they are almost impossible to show. When her partner leaves her side she almost develops withdraw symptoms as she has formed such a loving connection towards him. The girl is almost embarrassed about admitting her feelings, therefore she keeps hold of them and as a result of this she finds things difficult as her feelings gradually grow over time.

The girl continues to sing throughout the second verse. 'I couldn't spill my heart' - is implying that she is still having difficulty expressing her true feelings towards the boy.
